Melissa Zeccola, CCDT, CPDT-KA

Melissa has a lifelong love of dogs, starting with her German Shepherd mix as a child. Her passion for dog training began with her Ridgeback/Lab rescue in 2004. Her Mentor, Adrienne Kepp, helped her turn the hobby of dog training into more, by becoming a CATCH Certified Dog Trainer (CCDT). Before graduating with distinction from the Master’s program with CATCH Canine Trainers Academy in 2020, she juggled a professional career while raising kids and dogs. Melissa has now also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA).
Melissa started assisting at My Dog’s Got Class in 2019. The goal of her training methods is to find positive reinforcement training techniques to help dogs and their owners strengthen their bond. For enrichment activities, Melissa enjoys doing classes with her dogs, including “Tricks” and “Nosework”. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and learning more about dogs and their behavior. She lives in Somerset County with her husband and two rescues.
