Day Program Policies

PLEASE READ OUR POLICIES PRIOR TO REGISTRATION FOR ANY OF OUR DAY PROGRAMS:
Mind Your Manners; and Puppy Prep School.

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations in order to have a credit restored to your account.  If you have a reservation and do not provide us with the proper notice, we will not be able to fill your spot and therefore the credit will not be granted.  We typically have a waitlist each day but need enough notice to backfill your vacated spot.

Evaluations for our day programs If the dog has not attended any of our classes or programs, an evaluation MUST be scheduled with one of our trainers prior to registering for Mind Your Manners.  We need to ensure that each day training program is an appropriate fit for the dog before enrollment.  There is a $45 fee for evaluation appointments.  We DO NOT require evaluations for young puppies registering for our Puppy Prep School program.  Please contact us with any questions and to schedule an evaluation.

You MUST make a reservation online for any of our day programs: Mind Your Manners or Puppy Prep School.  If you are not able to complete a registration online, please contact us via email.  Please note that these programs typically fill two to four weeks in advance so it’s important that you book early to ensure we have space for your dog. If you do not see the date you are looking for, the session is FULL. Please contact us via email to be placed on the waitlist.    

We CANNOT accept verbal registrations, cancellations or changes whether in person or on the phone.  Any conversations should be followed up with an email to info@mydogsgotclass.com to ensure the registration is complete in our system.  It is not possible for us to document requests at drop off / pick up and do not want to miss recording a registration request.

You will need to sign a WAIVER and provide proof of VACCINES. We require age appropriate vaccines.  For young puppies we need proof of at least the first Distemper/Parvo vaccine.  For dogs over 6 months of age we also require proof of Rabies.  We accept documentation from breeders and veterinarians (history reports, receipts), as well as titer reports.

Please carefully check your email confirmation for the DATE and TIME of your registration.  You must bring your dog to the correct date and time session on your registration.  We base our staffing levels on registrations so it does impact your dog’s time when they are not on our roster.  If you come on the wrong day/time, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your dog.  

If you drop your dog off with no reservation, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your dog and you could be turned away.  If we are able to accept your dog that day, there will be an extra $15 fee which must be paid at drop off, NO EXCEPTIONS.

If your dog is with us for training, you must provide us with training treats for your dog.  Please write your dog’s name on the bag of treats. There should be a sufficient amount of soft, small (or pre-cut) treats.  If treats are not provided, there will be an additional $8 fee for a roll of a Happy Howies treats.

For training sessions, please include a written note with the behaviors you’d like us to focus on. 

If you are NOT currently taking a class or actively scheduling privates with us, you need to book a Day Training Transfer session after 5 visits so we can show you the behaviors we have been working on with your dog.  This will give us time to try to get a behavior trained and will give you the opportunity to continue their training at home in a consistent manner.  We offer these sessions at the discounted rate of $75 for a 45 minute session at our facility.

Early drop off/late pick up must be pre-arranged with our staff.  We are happy to accommodate your requests but need to ensure we have the staff available to do so.  Early drop offs and late pickups will incur an additional $15 per half hour

There is a dedicated phone number for drop off and pick-ups for our day programs.  Please call (do not text) 908-332-2645.  This phone is ONLY for drop off/pick up; it is not for other school business and does not have voicemail.  Any other school business should be directed to our main number or email

DROP OFF INSTRUCTIONS – Rain or Shine, please do not park in the spaces directly in front of the facility. Park along the grassy area to let your dogs got potty. There are waste stations to use as needed, please clean up after your dogs. Please also remember to keep a safe distance from other dogs. Once your dog is ready, call 908-332-2645 and wait by your car. A staff member will come to retrieve your dog. Please note that collection may not be in the order of the calls made.

PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS – Rain or shine, please park by the grassy area and call 908-332-2645 to let us know you have arrived. Please wait by your car and a staff member will bring the dog out to you. Please note that the return may not be in the order of the calls made.
