Michelle has owned and loved dogs her whole life, but began competitively training dogs in the early 2000’s, earning numerous titles in multiple sports such as Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Field, and Nose Work.  

After spending 20 years in the corporate world working in Accounting and Human Resources, Michelle decided to pursue a different path and focus on her love of dogs.  She has applied her dog training skills to classroom training for all levels from puppy to advanced, playgroups and reactive dog classes since 2012.  

Michelle is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), a Certified Fear Free Professional, an AKC Scent Work, Temperament Test and Fetch Judge (Judge #103183), AKC Canine Good Citizen/Trick Dog evaluator, UKC Nosework Judge (Judge #500059) and a volunteer and evaluator for Creature Comfort Pet Therapy as well as the recipient of their Volunteer of the Year award.  She also serves on the board of several dog clubs and was the recipient of the AKC Outstanding Sportsmanship award in 2024.  Michelle is also an AKC Breeder of Merit and has years of experience in puppy raising.

Michelle has been with My Dog’s Got Class from its inception, taking care of all the administrative aspects of the business, as well as training and class instruction.  

Michelle shares her home with her husband and her Weimaraners.  She spends her free time training and competing with her dogs.
