Tricks & Games

Go beyond the Basics with our Tricks and Games Classes!  These courses are fun for you and your dog but it’s not all fun and games – performing tricks will enhance your bond with your canine companion and stimulate them.  Learning new skills keeps older dogs young, agile, and flexible and gives young energetic dogs an outlet for their energy.  If you have a Pet Therapy dog, make your visits even more memorable with tricks that will put a smile on the faces of the people you visit.

AKC Novice Tricks

In this 3 week course you will learn a variety a tricks to be able to earn an AKC Novice Trick Dog (TKN) title for your dog.  This course is fun for you and your dog.  Performing tricks enhances the bond with your canine partner.  Learning new skills can give young energetic dogs a positive outlet for their energy or help keep older dogs agile and engaged. 

Your dog will need an AKC, PAL or AKC Canine Partners number in order to apply for the Trick Dog title.  This is not a requirement for the class; you may take the class and not apply for the title. 

PLEASE NOTE: WE ALLOW TWO HANDLERS PER DOG FOR THIS CLASS.

PRE-REQUISITE for this course is COMPLETION of the BASIC class.

COST: $115 for three 1-hour sessions. Payment is required upon registration to hold your spot in the class.

AKC Intermediate Tricks

Want more Tricks?  Then continue on with the AKC Intermediate Trick Dog (TKI) class to build on what you’ve learned in the AKC Novice Tricks course. The behaviors in this class are more challenging, but just as fun.  Tricks you will learn may include:  balancing a treat on their nose, catch, carry, fetch, leg weaves and more!

Your dog will need an AKC, PAL or AKC Canine Partners number in order to apply for the Trick Dog title.  This is not a requirement for the class; you may take the class and not apply for the title.
